Grupo con guía en el Teatro Romano, a los pies de la Alcazaba de Málaga
Guide team

Official guides of the Alcazaba of Málaga

What you take away from the Alcazaba changes quite a lot depending on how you explore it. Climbing the walls reading a sign every three towers is not the same as doing it with someone who knows why Badis ben Habus chose this hill, where he got the columns from or what happened in the keep in 1487.

Our team works in Málaga all year round. They are guides trained in History, Art History and Tourist Guiding, several of them with an official licence from the Regional Government of Andalusia, who know the Alcazaba, the Roman Theatre and the historic centre in depth.

Why these guides and not others

Because they know the Alcazaba from the inside. They know which capitals from the Roman Theatre ended up in the walls, where the remains of the Taifa palace are preserved and from which point of the walkway the relationship between the fortress and Gibralfaro is best understood.

They all have specific training in tourism or heritage, street experience with real groups and the ability to make a fortress of walls and gates understandable and enjoyable for anyone, whatever their age or prior knowledge.

Who organises the visits to the Alcazaba

Behind these guides there is a team that has been organising visits in Málaga for years. We are direct providers with our own team: we design the itineraries, manage the tickets and coordinate each visit so that it works from the moment you book until the tour ends.

We work with accredited guides, several of them with an official licence from the Regional Government of Andalusia, and we offer direct customer service without intermediaries by WhatsApp, phone and email.
